ELECTRIC HORA is our monthly klezmer dance series. Every fourth Tuesday, we're at the Burren Back Room in Davis Square with a house band of our favorite klezmer musicians and a rotating crew of fabulous Yiddish dance teachers.

Have you ever danced the hora at a Jewish wedding and thought, "Damn! I should do that every month!" Been lifted in a chair above a circling sea of friends and family? Clapped your hands for a patsch tanz or stomped your feet to a bulgar? Have you ever wanted to?
Now is your chance. It's time for ELECTRIC HORA, Boston's best klezmer dance series, featuring a rotating cast of the top dance leaders and klezmer musicians from across New England.

Q: Who should come?
A: Anyone who wants to dance with family, friends, neighbors, and lovely strangers. Seriously, all of you. If you're reading this, you should come.
Q: Do you have to be Jewish/speak Yiddish/already know how to dance?
A: No! Yiddish dancing comes from a specific people and culture, but it's for everyone.
Q: Will there be cake?
A: The Burren will have full service food and drink available at the tables around the room's edge and at the bar.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Comfortable clothes and shoes.
Q: Do I have to bring a partner?
A: Nope. Come by yourself, with a partner, or a group.
Q: Is Yiddish dancing gendered?
A: Historically, yes. Today, no. Dance leaders use non-gendered calling.
Q: When are the other dates?
